Sandpiper has been in the book publicity business since 2007 and was created out of a desire to help writers navigate the treacherous waters of publicizing their work. We have been growing slowly but surely ever since, and now have a staff of seven – this includes three book publicists, two web developers, a social media strategist, and an office manager.
Sandpiper is a member of the Book Publicists Marketing Association, (BPMA) and listed in Literary Market Place. Our book publicists have taught classes in book marketing at UCLA and Pepperdine University and have been featured as book publicity experts in media outlets in the US and Europe.
Our clients have been featured on: Good Morning America, CNN, ABC Nightly News, Nightline, TIME, PBS, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Investor’s Business Daily, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Howard Stern, Family Circle, Woman’s World, Entrepreneur, and many more.
The last several years has been both exciting and challenging, as both traditional publishing and book publicity has been turned upside down with the decline of traditional publishers, the rise of social media and the eBook Revolution.
We believe the measure of a good book publicist is their literary credibility and the quality of their media connections. All of our book publicists are well connected in the media and have years of experience arranging for interviews, book reviews, and feature stories. Further, we believe a book publicist has to have a through understanding of the books and authors they represent to effectively engage the media. Finally, we believe a book publicist should never loose track of their goal: to make their author’s dreams come true.
Let’s work together and create the perfect publicity strategy for your book.
